Family #430: BURLINGHAM, SULLIVAN COUNTY

“I am hoping for help for my 2 children for Christmas this year. I have a 13 year old son that his father has nothing to do with him since he was 5. When he was 8, I was diagnosed epileptic. When he was 11 my gallbladder died and my seizures became worse. I have not worked in 2 years and not able to drive. We have a wonderful man in our lives that support us and love us. And he works hard and tries hard to make the bills each month. In May we were blessed with a brand new baby girl…. But not being able to work or drive and his income being the only income, makes Christmas this year particularly hard. We are 11 days til Christmas and I don’t have not even 1 gift to give to these beautiful children of mine. I just would love to keep the magic for my son. He’s already sacrificed so much in his short life…just so I can make ends meet.. for the last 2 years we celebrated Christmas on January 25 instead because I just cant afford Christmas. We receive food stamps. I don’t know what to do. I would really appreciate any help for this holiday season. It upsets me to think they wont have a Christmas this year.”
