Family #353: KINGSTON, ULSTER COUNTY

“This is a family of six (seven). One parent works outside the home. The other stays home taking care of the family which includes one preschooler who has sever Autism (Autism Spectrum) and a toddler who is developmentally delayed. This parent tends to all of the children’s, educational, developmental, medical, physical and emotional needs, while parenting the two teenagers as well as an additional family member (7 year old daughter) who comes on weekends. Due to the extreme demands on this parent she is unable to take a job outside of the home. This family is seriously struggling financially and could use not only the financial assistance to deal with the holidays but the emotional boost that this community minded program indirectly offers by wanting to help.”
